NASTRO SUBITO by Zoltan Coxis

Limited & numbered 75 copies edition. 10 tracks. 52 min.

"Nastro Subito"was the unfinished thriller film by Aldo Rivenditore (1965-1999), whose soundtrack was made by Zoltan, after the strange death with nitrate of the Sicilian director.

In 1998, after a strong telephone discussion with Coxis, Aldo decided to dispense with any soundtrack for his film, as he thought that the images exhibited in it were not allowed to being composed by a human being.

Zoltan, after Rivenditore's disappearance, got hold of some semi-destroyed negative fragments and began to assemble his synthesizer sounds with those disturbing scenes. The result is quite far from the director's "Cinema-sur-mer" concept, but it gives us a wrong idea of the intentions of Bruno di Giove, the famous transalpine producer.

Ten cuts make up this performance, again Coxis recreates with its keyboards and synthesizers a strange and morbid universe, from the throbbing and tense introduction of "Dimensione UNO" to the stormy swings of "Enciclica nello spazio" or the plains and synthetic mantles in " Miracolo de San Gennaro ".

Some of the instruments used were: Sequential Prophet 5, Roland JX3P, Solton Programmer, Micromoog, among others.
